World famous
Ski seasons start around June most years and run through until September, sometimes October. The ski areas (Whakapapa and Turoa) are the largest in New Zealand, boasting the highest lift access terrain, longest vertical drop in Australasia and a world heritage National Park location.

Situated in the central North Island of New Zealand just south of Taupo, Mount Ruapehu isn’t only stunningly beautiful, it has location on it’s side. New Zealand is one of the only places in the world where you can ski in the morning and go to the beach in the afternoon.
